Fox News long-time prime-time host Tucker Carlson no longer works for Fox News, the company announced Monday. His last show was on Friday.

FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor, the company said in a statement. Shares of Fox dropped 3.7% on the news.

The announcement comes days after the network agreed to pay $787.5 million to settle a defamation lawsuit over knowingly making false claims about the 2020 presidential election.

The trial between Fox News and Dominion Voting System began earlier this month after the Denver-based company accused Fox of election fraud. Several Fox hosts, including Carlson and Laura Ingraham, reportedly had their doubts about whether former President Donald Trump lost the election due to voter fraud, but still went ahead with airing those claims.
